LOFLC Junior Chefs On The Making

The Leapians once again showcased their talents in art as well as in cooking and food preparation, during the culminating activity of the Nutrition Month, which was held last July 29, 2011. The Nutrition Month is an annual commemoration of good health and wellbeing, which is celebrated in July of every year. The theme for this year’s Nutrition Month is “Isulong ang Breastfeeding – Tama, Sapat, at Exclusibo.”

The day’s activity was welcomed by a complete attendance of the Leapians. Everyone was busy in their respective classrooms, as they did their specific tasks. To start with, the Grades 4 and 5 students, with the help of Teacher Tina, came up with their own version of Caesar’s salad. Conversely, the Grades 2 and 3 students, together with Teacher Rachel, had a blast cooking Kebab Pork Barbecue and buko juice; while the Grade 1 students, along with Teacher Roxan, prepared their home-cooked style egg sandwich. Meanwhile, the Level II and Level III students, assisted by Teacher Hana and Teacher Lianne, delighted everyone with their own rendition of Ham & Cheese Biscotti with mango shake. Of course, the Level I students were very much pleased with their cheese sticks and the Toddlers with their macaroni and cheese, both assisted by Teacher Cheeky and Teacher Daffney. What do we know, we have our very own Pinoy Junior Chefs here at Leap of Faith Learning Center!

Other than food preparation, all students likewise participated in the art contest in their respective grade levels. The artworks were displayed and were judged accordingly by the teachers. The winners in the contests were announced, and their ribbons given, the following Monday during the assembly. These winners are also entitled to receive a certificate at the end of the school year during the Graduation/Recognition ceremony. Credit was given to the following winners in the art contest:
