Goodbye 2010... Hello 2011!

The Leap of Faith Learning Center ended 2010 with a bash!  The LOFLC administration, teachers, parents and students had a Christmas Party / Family Day, which was held last December 17, 2010 at the LOFLC compound.

At this juncture, the LOFLC decided to temporarily forego its traditional Christmas presentation program.  This was to allow the whole LOFLC community – the teachers, the parents and the Leapians – to spend the day simply relaxing and enjoying one another’s company.  The occasion likewise gave everybody an opportunity to look back on the challenging and fruitful year ahead of them that was coming to an end.

In lieu of the customary Christmas Extravaganza, just for the fun of it, the Leapians simply sang a few carols, recited some praises and danced to a couple of songs instead.  The short and modest talent show time was followed by some parlor games participated in, not only by the Leapians, but with their parents as well.

The parents were obviously keen on making the event a fun and memorable one for their children.  Through the prizes and individual gifts bags they prepared, it was as if Santa Claus himself was present at the party.  Before the party culminated with a community dining, the children went back to their classrooms for a while in order to experience and enjoy the Filipino way of exchanging gifts.  As expected, no Christmas party in the Philippines passes without the said manito-manita, as Filipinos commonly call it.

It is worth mentioning as well that it was during the same event that this much-awaited LOFLC blogger, www.iamaleapian.blogspot.com, was officially launched.

On a more personal note, the year 2010 could not go by without a curtain call directed to all of you parents, friends and supporters of Leap of Faith Learning Center, who have always believed, trusted and kept your faith in us.  Consider this blogger then as our gift to each and every one of you, which we hope and believe will draw us even closer to one another.

Finally, we have all witnessed how the faithful leaps made during the previous year 2010 have brought us so much blessing here at the Leap of Faith Learning Center.  Now, we have stepped into another year that we all hope will continue to bring us together in faith, joy, love and peace. We are looking forward to a million more leaps of faith with you!
