LOFLC Gears Up for SY 2011 to SY 2012

The activities of the teachers and students of the Leap of Faith Learning Center did not end with the SY 2010-2011 March Recognition/Graduation Exercises. In fact, the LOFLC had just welcomed students, old and new alike, in its 2011 Reading and Mathematics Enrichment Programs, which started on April 11, 2011, and bid them a momentary good bye as the same ended on May 6, 2011.

To recognize the hard work of the students, albeit the short period of time, Certificates of Completion were awarded to each and every participant of the Reading and Mathematics Enrichment Programs during the brief farewell program held on the last day of the said Summer Program.

On the other hand, the LOFLC teachers had likewise been continually busy throughout the summer with their own enrichment programs, through the Summer Workshop, Training and Seminar they attended and completed during the months of April and May of 2011.

To be specific, the whole month of April was devoted to a workshop on Personality Theories, Developmental Milestones, Transition from Pre-School to First Grade, Multi-Level Classes, and last but definitely not the least significant, a workshop on the Best Practices for Improving Student Behavior. The said workshops were spearheaded by Ms. Karen Cecille N. Puentespina, the LOFLC Pre-School Coordinator.

Soon thereafter, the LOFLC teachers allotted the first week of May for a week-long training on Academic Teaching Methods and Techniques, this time conducted by various former and present teachers of the Ateneo de Davao Grade School Department (AdDU – GS). In this light, the Leap of Faith Learning Center would once again like to extend our deepest and heartfelt gratitude to the following trainers of the respective subjects:

It is obvious that the LOFLC teachers just can’t enough of learning! Truly, they cannot face the new SY 2011 to 2012 ahead of them without being well prepared. Right now, equipped with new knowledge, skills development, and training, the LOFLC teachers are all geared up and ready to go. Go Leapians!
